Clyde Wayne Gibbs, 86, of Hartford, West Virginia passed away on August 29, 2008 at Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington. He was born on December 9, 1921 in Hartford, son of the late Isaiah William Gibbs and Helen Virginia Allemang. He was a World War II Army veteran. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:30PM at Graham Cemetery. Harry Thomas Knapp, 80, of New Haven, West Virginia passed away on August 20, 2008 at Lakin Hospital. He was born on August 11, 1928 in New Haven, son of the late Melvin B. Knapp and Helen O. Grinstead Knapp. He was a United States Army veteran. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Haven. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 140 and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9926. He is survived by five sisters: Joann Taylor, Mary Fry, Patty Paugh all of New Haven, Peggy Harless and her husband Bob of Mason, WV and Sharon Vickers and her husband Kenneth of New Haven; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his wife Faye; brothers, Douglas Knapp and Brady Knapp; twin brother Herman Knapp; sister, Marjorie Gibbs; brother, Richard Everett Knapp and his nephew Rodney Vickers. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 2pm at Anderson Funeral Home in New Haven with Pastor Sherri Hoffman and Elder Kenneth Vickers officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery where Military Funeral Honors will be presented by the American Legion and the VFW. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
