Cemantha Patsy Basham Nutter, 76, passed away on March 31, 2009. Born July 23, 1932, originally of Beckley, WV but found her home in New Haven, WV where she spent her life with friends and family. She was the owner of Pat's Diner in New Haven for 15 years. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bruce Nutter, her father, Thurmond Meadows, her mother, Cemantha Parker Meadows, eight brothers, and seven sisters. She is survived by: her children, Vickie Atterson of Beckley and Melvin Basham of New Haven; grandchildren, Anthony Ayers of Grandview, WV, Jamie Basham of Beaver, WV, and Amy Richardson of Georgia; nephews, Clayton Plumley and his wife Louise of Oklahoma, Jimmy Plumley and his wife, Gina of Oklahoma and Chuckie Meadows and his wife Dolly of Shady Springs, WV; nieces, Lena Bennett and her husband Buddy of North Carolina, Libby Whitter and her husband Carol of North Carolina, Drema Berry and her husband Lacy of Beaver, WV, Debbie Myles of Crow, WV and Laraline Harrah and her husband Connie of Meadow Bridge, WV; special friends, Walter and Mary Roush and Lundy Brown. And a very special thanks to her caregivers, Erma Nelson, Angie Powell, and Dr. Tayengco and all the people who helped her through it all, including hospice of Beckley. Pallbearers will be: Timothy Stone, Guy Gorrell, Ralph Ellison, Chuckie Meadows, and Lacy Berry. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 6:00pm at Anderson Funeral Home in New Haven with Pastor Charles Cundiff officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 on Thursday at the funeral home. Special services will be held at the Blue Ridge Cemetery Chapel on Friday at 12:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. A registry is available on-line at www.andersonfh.com.
