   Violet Carson, 78, of New Haven, West Virginia passed away on December 14, 2009.  She was born on September 23, 1931 in Palermo, West Virginia daughter of the late Mitchey and Daisy Bell Lovejoy.  She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Sister.
   She is survived by her: husband of 55 years George E. Carson of New Haven; children Angela (Glen) Clark of Mason and Eddie (Tammy) Carson of Mason; grandchildren Crystal (Jay) Matthews of Mason, Mindy (Troy) Rife of Ravenswood and Michelle (Danny) Whittington of Mason; great grandchildren Joshua D. Matthews, Kylee Ann and Codi Allen Rife and Macie Jane Whittington; sisters and brothers Ella Adkins of New Haven, Geneva Baldwin of New Haven, Norma (Bernie) Smith of Tornado, WV, Cleo (Lena Mae) Lovejoy of Hamlin, WV, Curtis (Ruby) Lovejoy of IL, Juanita Gillespie of Nitro, WV and Evelyn (Denny) Ashbury of Sissonville, WV; sister-in-law Patsy McComas of Barboursville, WV; brother-in-law Asa "Sonny" Carson of Huntington, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson Noah Michael Carson; sister Dean Adkins; brother Bobby Lovejoy.
   Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Anderson Funeral Home in New Haven with Rev. Richard Nease officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
