   George Bernard Hoffman, 94, of Letart, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 He was born October 20, 1922, in Letart, the son of the late George Benjamin Hoffman and Rhoda Rickard Hoffman. He retired from AEP Phillip Sporn Plant.
   Bernard was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Marie Hoffman, sisters Evelyn Jewell and Marceline Hoffman.
   Bernard is survived by his children, George H. (Eleanor) Hoffman, Connie (Danny) Riley and Debbie Hoffman Roush, all of Letart; 11 grandchildren, Benny Hoffman, Jane Haddox, Jennifer Thomas, Joe Hoffman, Julia Hoffman, Jessica Johnson, Brooke Meadows, Cory Riley, Brody Roush, Craig Roush and Ashley Rickard; 20 great grandchildren; and his sister, Gertrude Roush, of Letart.
   Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Anderson Funeral Home in New Haven, with Pastor John Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow at Hoffman Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
